Obituary of Jessie M. Wnuk

Jessie (Kurowski) Wnuk 1925 -2017 Utica Jessie Marie Wnuk, 92, a lifelong area resident, passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 with her loving family by her side. She was born in Yorkville on June 12, 1925, the daughter of Teofil and Kyrcha Kurowski and attended local schools. On October 17, 1948, she was united in marriage to Stanley Wnuk at St. Mary's Church, New York Mills. It was a blessed union until his passing on December 4, 1986. She was employed for many years at General Electric and Hamilton Digital. Jessie had a wonderful sense of humor, was an avid NY Yankees fan and loved cats. She enjoyed reminiscing about times spent with her family at Oneida Lake. She is survived by two daughters, Christine Nichols and Cynthia McKelvey, both of Clinton and her son and daughter-in-law Terrence and Janice (Mierzwa) Wnuk of New Hartford. Also surviving are her four grandchildren, Martin Gerlach IV, Christopher, Stephanie Wnuk and Paul McKelvey and two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by three sisters and one brother. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial at the Church of Sacred Heart and St. Mary Our Lady of Czestochowa, New York Mills on Friday, June 30 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be at Holy Trinity Cemetery immediately following the Mass. Arrangements are by Kowalczyk Funeral Home, New York Mills.
