Obituary of Marilyn A. LaPorte

Marilyn A. (Hrycaj) LaPorte 1954 - 2017 Utica Marilyn A. (Hrycaj) LaPorte, 63, a lifelong area resident, passed away, on Thursday, June 29, 2017 with her loving family by her side, in the comfort of her home. She was born in Utica on May 24, 1954 the daughter of Henry and Marion Jankiewicz Hrycaj and received her education in local schools receiving her Associate Degree from M.V.C.C. On August 14, 1982 she was united in marriage to Paul LaPorte, in Holy Trinity Church. Marilyn was employed by the Utica City School District. She is survived by her loving husband, Paul LaPorte and her son and daughter –in- law Paul Jr. and Kayla LaPorte, all of Utica. Also surviving are her sister, Patrice and her husband, Kevin Kwiat of Whitesboro and a brother Paul Hrycaj, of LA, and her sister –in- law and her husband Paula and John Rzepka, as well as nieces and nephews; Melinda, Jessica, Hayley, Adam and Luke, also cousins, Joseph Wood and Richard Tarnowski. She was predeceased by her parents; two aunts, Jania Wood, Jeannie Tarnowski and a special and loving cousin, Jana Wood. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Services which will be held on Monday, July 3, at 11 a.m. at the Kowalczyk Funeral Home, 1156 Lincoln Ave, Utica. Those who wish may call on Sunday, July 2, from 3 – 5 p.m. Burial will take place in Holy Trinity Cemetery.
