Obituary of Stella Dzimitrowicz

Stella P. Dzimitrowicz 1923 – 2017 Utica Stella P. Dzimitrowicz, 94, a lifelong area resident passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at the Utica Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Utica on March 1, 1923 the daughter of John and Josephine Wojtanowski Warchol and received her education in local schools. In 1947 she was united in marriage to Edward Dzimitrowicz, in Holy Trinity Church, a blessed union until his passing in1978. Stella was employed with Farmhouse until her retirement. Her survivors include her son, Edward Dzimitrowicz, of Harrisburg, PA and her granddaughter, Tiffany ( Dzimitrowicz) Guzman, of Utica. Also surviving is her sister, Dorothy Kelsey, of VA; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, David (Dzimitrowicz) Douglas and four brothers and an infant sister; Walter, Edward, Lee, Richard and Jane Warchol. Those who wish may call on Monday, December 4th from 2 – 4 p.m. at the Kowalczyk Funeral Home, 1156 Lincoln Ave., Utica. Burial will take place in Holy Trinity Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Stella's family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the doctors, nurses and staff of the Utica Rehabilitation and Nursing Center (formerly St. Joseph's Nursing Home) for all the wonderful care and compassion shown to Stella during her stay.
