Obituary of Elizabeth Manning

Elizabeth (Betty) Manning 1925 - 2017 Utica Elizabeth (Betty) Manning, 92, a lifelong area resident passed away on Monday, December 11, 2017, in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Rome, New York, on May 24, 1925, the daughter of Stanley and Alexandra Radziejewicz Kemp. Shereceived her nursing degree from St. Elizabeth School of Nursing, graduating with the class of 1946. Elizabeth was employed for many years as a Registered Nurse with St. Elizabeth Hospital prior to her retirement in 1990. She was a member of the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes, Utica, New York. She is survived by her two daughters, Marilyn and her husband, Andrew S. Kowalczyk III, Utica, NY, and Diana Manning of Clinton, NY; her grandchildren Tracy Garafalo, Brianna and Dr. John McCormack, Dr. Andra and Dr. Michael DeTora, Alicca and Jay Willmes, Annalyse Kowalczyk and Abigail Kowalczyk; and her five great grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Lee Kemp, and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, which will be celebrated on Thursday (today) at 10am at the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes. There will be no calling hours. Family will receive friends and visitors at the conclusion of the funeral Mass. Burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery.
