Obituary of Ronald G. Cieslak

Ronald G. Cieslak 1943 – 2018 New York Mills Ronald "Ron" G. Cieslak, 74, a longtime New York Mills, resident passed away on Monday January 8, 2018 at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare with his family by his side. He was born in Utica on September 2, 1943 the son of Edward and Emily John Cieslak and graduated from New York New York Mills High School. Ron was employed with Revere Copper & Brass in Rome until his retirement. He was a member of the church of Our Lady of the Rosary. Ronald was a sports enthusiast who enjoyed the New York Giants, the Yankees and the New York Mills Marauders. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing. He also enjoyed walking the Mall, the time spent at his daughter Brenda's salon and taking care of the animals in his yard. He loved spending time with his family and friends and taking trips to Maine with Dianne. He could often be found cheering in the stands at his grandchildrens' sporting events. Ron had a wonderful sense of humor and was constantly telling jokes. He was always willing to help anyone in need and was very thoughtful and generous. An all around thoughtful man who went out of his was for family and friends. He is survived by his former wife JosphineCieslak, and their 3 children Barb (Myron) Falinski of West Monroe, Brenda (Joe) Hess of Whitesboro and Joe (Kari)Cieslak of Sylvan Beach; his grandchildren Mark, Erika and Aly Falinski, Joey, Zach and Hunter Hess and Brady, Kaylee and ShealynnCieslak. Also included are his loving companion Dianne Plizga and her daughter Heather Sorensen(fiancé Kevin Thayer). Aunt Angie John and in-laws, James and Gladys Satterlee.Nieces and nephews, Michelle(Chad) Winfield, Michael (MaryJo) Satterlee, and Missi(Chris) Price.Cousins Joseph John, Marlene McConnell and MarieAbess. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated on Monday at 10 a.m. at The Church of Our Lady of the Rosary. Those who wish may call on Sunday from 2 – 5 p.m. at the Kowalczyk Funeral Home, 284 Main St., New York Mills. Burial will take place in St. Joseph Cemetery.
