Obituary of Gladys Kempeny

Gladys Kempeny New Hartford/ TN Gladys M. Kempeny, 91, formerly of Clinton passed away Saturday, March 17, 2018 at the home of her daughter in Tennessee. She was born in Utica on July 3, 1926 the daughter of Thaddeus and Frances Bar Kuzniar and attended local schools. On November 6, 1948 she married Hal Kempeny in Holy Trinity Church; he died on October 18, 1982. She is survived by her sons and their wives Bruce and Yvonne Kempeny of FL and Brad and Billie Kempeny of Remsen; two daughters Barbara and Dede Sampson of CA and Donna and Shane Wortman of TN a daughter-in-law Sharon Kempeny and 8 grandchildren 10 great grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by her sons William and Brian and her many brothers and sisters. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated on Monday at 10:30 at the Church of the Annunciation in Clark Mills. Those that wish may call on Sunday from 3 until 5pm at the Kowalczyk Funeral Home 284 Main Street New York Mills. Burial will take place in Holy Trinity Cemetery.
