Obituary of Edward Wilk

Edward Wilk 1918 – 2018 Marcy Edward Wilk, 100, a longtime Marcy resident, passed away on Monday, April 16, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center. He was born in Utica on February 12, 1918 the son of Jacob and Wanda Solarz Wilk and received his education in local schools. On November 4, 1944 he was united in marriage to Nellie Listovich in St. George's Catholic Church; a loving union of sixty-four years, until her passing on October 7, 2009. Edward was employed for many years with Adirondack Bank until his retirement. He is survived by two sons, Thomas Wilk of Marcy and Edward and his wife, Pamela Wilk of Westmoreland as well as ten grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. Also surviving are his sister, Stella Schell of Auburn and several nieces and nephews. Edward was predeceased by several siblings. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated on Friday at 10 a.m. at Holy Trinity Church. Those who wish may call on Thursday (today) from 4 – 6 p.m. at the Kowalczyk Funeral Home, 1156 Lincoln Ave., Utica. Burial will take place in Holy Trinity Cemetery.
