Obituary of Gladys Waskiewicz

Gladys Waskiewicz Utica 1924 – 2018 Gladys Waskiewicz,94, a lifelong Utica resident, passed away on Monday, April 30, 2018 at University Hospital, Syracuse. She was born in Utica, the daughter of Ignatius and Stefania Kowalski and attended local schools. Gladys was united in marriage to Edwin Waskiewicz in 1946, a loving union of sixty – eight years, until his passing on March 5, 2015. Her survivors include her grandson, Christopher (Mariana) Guertin, and great grandson Benjamin of , Weston FL ., and grandson, Courtney Guertin of Queensbury, NY. A special thank you is extended to Gladys's caring friends; Joanie Evans, Jerry Kraus, Peggy Salamacha, Aida Husic, Maida Krecidlo and Nicole Bienkowski. She was predeceased by her daughter Christine, as well as two brothers and a sister. Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Monday at 11 a.m. at the Kowalczyk Funeral Home, 1156 Lincoln Ave, Utica.
