Obituary of Christopher Gaska

Christopher Gaska 1965-2018 Utica Christopher Gaska, 53, a lifelong Utica resident passed away unexpectedly on Saturday August 4, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center. He was born in Utica on February 12, 1965 the son of Joseph and Josephine Urban Gaska and graduated from Utica Free Academy. He continued his education at Mohawk Valley Community College and further received his Bachelor's Degree from Buffalo State University. Chris was employed for many years as an Electrical Engineer with Trenton Technologies for Albert Mazloom and R.A. Wood Inc. Manufacturing. His survivors include his two sisters and his brother-in-law, Mary Kellihan of VA and Anne and Kevin Graziedei of Utica; six brothers and their spouses, Joseph and Phyllis Gaska of GA., Lawrence and Bonnie Gaska, of Hudson Falls, Michael and Cathy Gaska, of NC, Bruce Gaska and his companion, Gloria Koslofsky, of Utica, Thomas and Susan Gaska, of RI, and Jeff Gaska, of Utica with whom he resided. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and his canine companion "Bruno". He was predeceased by his sister-in-law, Janet L. Gaska and his brother-in-law, Harold Kellihan. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated on Saturday at 11a.m. at Holy Trinity Church. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are under the care of the Kowalczyk Funeral Home, 1156 Lincoln Ave., Utica. . The family of Chris would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff of the Price Chopper in New Hartford for their kindness and attention, as well as Edward's Ambulance Service, when he was unexpectedly stricken.
