Obituary of Patricia (Stella) Parzych

Patricia (Stella) Parzych 1920 – 2018 Utica Patricia (Stella) Parzych, 98, a lifelong Utica resident, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at the Siegenthaler Center, with her loving family by her side. She was born in Utica on January 30, 1920 the daughter of Stanley and Alexandra Dabrowski Bielicki and received her education in local schools. Stella was united in marriage to Charles Parzych in October of 1939 in Holy Trinity Church, a union until his passing on October 1, 1978. Pat, as she was known, was the owner and operator of "Patricia's Beauty Salon". She was the past treasurer of the local National Hairdressers and Cosmetologist Association. In her earlier years, Stella took great enjoyment preparing pierogi's with her fellow parishioners at Holy Trinity Church. She enjoyed traveling, and spending time will her family, especially her great grandson, Adam. Her survivors include her grand children, Jeffery Parzych, Valerie Parzych and her great grandson Adam Paryzch, all of FL. Also surviving are her niece, Sandra Patrizio of Cazenovia, as well as her "special friend", Eileen Waskiewicz, of Utica. She was predeceased by her son, Charles (Sonny) Parzych and her sister, Bernice Swier. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated on Monday at 10 a.m. at Holy Trinity Church. Those who wish may call on Monday morning from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. prior to the Mass, at the Kowalczyk Funeral Home, 1156 Lincoln Ave. Burial will take place in Holy Trinity Cemetery.
