Obituary of Anne Philomena Korrie

Anne (Baressi) Korrie 1925-2018 Utica- Anne P. (Baressi) Korrie passed away on November 11, 2018 after a brief illness. She was born in Utica on September 5, 1925 to the late Joseph and Marietta (DeBernardis) Baressi. She was a 1943 graduate of Proctor High School. She was joined in marriage to Joseph A. Korrie on June 3, 1950, who predeceased her in October 2017. She leaves behind the children she so lovingly raised, Debra/Thomas Martin, David/Csilla Korrie, John Korrie, Michael/Eileen Korrie; her grandchildren Beth/Trey Geary, Laura/Kevin Sunderland, Audra Korrie (Anthony Hill), Sabrina, Christoper and Andres Korrie who she loved dearly and her precious great-grandchildren Abigail and Josiah Geary who always brought a smile to her face. She also leaves behind in-laws Anthony, Louis, John, Patrick/Marilou, George/Phyllis, many nieces and nephews, her caregiver Michelle Laramie, dear friends Penny and Lenny Milano, and many friends at Schuyler Commons. She was predeceased by her sister Elvira Taurisano, and in-laws, Salvatore, Annie, Florence, Rosemarie and Catherine. With all, she shared her love of life, laughter and many talents, like sewing, basketry and cooking. She will be greatly missed but what she shared and taught us will never be forgotten. There will be no service or calling hours but family and friends are invited to join us for lunch and a celebration of Anne's life on Friday, November 23, 2018 from 11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. at the Schuyler Commons Clubhouse off Trenton Road on Independence Square.
